Judicial Bureau
The McIntosh County Office of the Sheriff’s Judicial Bureau, under the leadership of Major Dorothy Jenkins, is committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety, professionalism, integrity, and service.

The Judicial Bureau serves as the umbrella for two specialized divisions:
Court Services and the School Resource Division.
While each division has distinct responsibilities, both share the common mission of protecting and serving the citizens of McIntosh County.

Court Services
Division
The Court Services Division is responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and orderly environment for McIntosh County’s judicial operations. Deputies provide courtroom and courthouse security, protect judges, court personnel, jurors, citizens, and visitors, and ensure the safe custody and movement of inmates appearing before the courts.

School Resource Division
The School Resource Division is responsible for providing law enforcement services and promoting safety throughout the McIntosh County School System. School Resource Deputies work closely with students, faculty, administrators, parents, and community partners to provide campus security, respond to emergencies, prevent criminal activity, and build positive relationships between youth and law enforcement.

Our Commitment
Together, Court Services and the School Resource Division represent the Judicial Bureau’s commitment to protecting two vital institutions within our community—our courts and our schools—through professional service, preparedness, integrity, and community partnership.
